Why toned?

    Nice and I think it shows how some nice high grade copper coins tone nicely. Usually it seems like everyone first starts posting silver(or silver colored coins) to show toning - and then some of those rainbow colored coins. The thing I did not see in this thread is that for copper I think of just RB and BN as toning. While some of the natural toning from RD to RB to BN may not show color like this, they can be just as sweet(in my opinion). I have a couple of high grade browns coins that show the bluish color while moving it in the light.

    Or some sweet, sweet hard green ancient patina. Probably the most gorgeous toning known to mankind.
