Why is this not slabbed

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

I have no idea what the addl value (if any) from the die variety. That disclaimer aside, and speaking of the coin itself, the price is not out of line for the date, and it ranks very highly on the Leadfoot originality scale, so I have no issue whatsoever on the price. I like the coin a lot and would not hesitate to order it on approval given the pics and price point.

eh - I think it should be about 135 dollars if Heritage auctions are any measure.

Uh, that is a half cent not a half dime and the auction is still underway and currently at $195, well above $135 and likely to still go higher.

I also do not think you can compare heritage to retail prices. Where do you think a lot of dealers coins come from? :) I do use heritage to get a feel for what they might be making on the coin. If I see a dealer selling a coin for $600 when I can get it on heritage for$230 - then I might wait. BUT if I see them going for $230 on heritage and a dealer has one for $275 I might very well buy from the dealer. I agree the coin looks okay - a little dark to me, but nothing unusual. Not really sure about the price. Again just another humble opinion of mine.

Thank you Mark. Opinions is what is needed. With enough of them you form some level of consensus that you can use to make a judgment. group sourcing, may the force of it be with you.
