Past information received from Treasury Direct was that they would cash and open a trust account, completely managing the terms, funds received from the forwarded bonds.

The only current information found from Treasury Direct is:
"With us: Do not sign the bonds.
    • Get FS Form 1522.
    • Fill it out.
    • Get your signature certified, if necessary.
(If the value of the bond(s) you are cashing is more than $1,000, you must have your signature certified. See FS Form 1522 for more about the signature requirements.)
    • Send the form and the bonds to us at the address on FS Form 1522."
    • If you have additional information as to how cash can be received, the information would be appreciated, as their past information was that a trust account would be opened rather than a forwarding of funds!

Sounds right. Direct deposit information is on the bottom of page 1.

My son collected baseball cards and Marvel comic books starting when he was 12. He worked at a drug store that carried the Marvel comic books and would exchange his work for the comics since he was too young to be employed. He started saving all of his baseball cards about the same time. We use to buy the annual baseball cards for each year. He paid his own way through college (UNC-Chapel Hill). He now owns two homes and two beach homes that he rents out unless he needs them.
My youngest daughter saved Cabbage Patch Dolls, starting with her 6th birthday.
I must have done something right. I live in a Trailer (and own a home worth about $$$)
I believe that we, as parents, should teach our children fiscal financial responsibility
so that they can live on their own. Some of the information given here, I didn't know. I think at 75, I need to continue learning.
Thank you all for the information.

EFT could also stand for Extremely Fake Toning!

Silver Eagles are prettier to look at than Beanie Babies.
