1967 quarter, it is in amazing condition, but looks like it is graphite. It weighs the same as other quarters just looks super weird
Environmental damage. Mineral etched from acidic soil? Metal detector find, campfire, wishing well. Etc.
I find nothing whatsoever amazing about its condition. It looks totally ordinary to me. A bit porous from environmental damage, as mentioned.
When exposed to salty or brackish water the Cupronickel clad will get that appearance. I've metal detected plenty of quarters with that dull appearance.
@M Moro Also, in the future, please create your threads in the correct forum. For example, if you think you might have a mint error there is a Error Coins section. If you want to show your US Coins then there's a US Coins and Coin Chat section. Do not use the General Discussion forum to ask about a coin. That's for discussions such as.. What's your favorite music genre? Who do you think will win the Superbowl? Why is the sky blue? In other words, non coin related subjects. Except for politics and religion topics. Welcome to Cointalk
