You have seen where one would hold a coin then turn it around so the light can reflect off of it. I can't make heads or tales out of it when they twist and turn the coin. What is it suppose to be better than traditional way showing back and front and edge of coin?
That's just crap I see anyways on that Home shopping Network. What's that dude's name ? Its supposed to show the luster I guess .Big deal. You need to see it up close and personal in my opinion .
Videos make the hiding of hairlines and cleaning harder considering you'll catch all angles of light on all imperfections. A scratch can look very different depending on lighting tricks.
You will notice this on allot of bullion sites such as APMEX , they have videos on most of there expensive coins that just twirl around and say buy me..LOL
If I wanted to highlight the luster on a coin then I would offer up a short video. Hard to see luster without that movement. But I would also offer a still photo as well.
