Why do coins have dates?

    yes totally agree.
    Though that may vary dependent upon demographics. In a past job, all the young folk used cash only - as in didn't even have a bank account !!

    I was mostly electronic then, now I'm mixed using store cards for specific purchases then cash to buy from all the various other stores to minimize risk exposure.

    At my work I've recently implemented the newest credit card chip system machines, so I'm aware of the technology. But we'll see what the hackers do now.

    And, being at the store yesterday when the CC machines were down, cash was still being taken. So if you had cash, you could buy. If you only had a card you were out of luck.

    If you've ever been in a region when there's power outages cash is still used, credit sometimes cannot be processed dependent upon the severity of a power outage.

    cash doesn't need batteries. :)

    So, send me all your cash .. I'd be willing to take it for free as it will be worthless in the near future :)
