Why did this raw Morgan toner sell for so much?

I do not find this coin attractive and I do question whether the obverse toned naturally.

I am not an expert on toning but I can share my experiences. I have bought end-roll Morgans and they will have toning patterns like the reverse. If the reverse were exposed, how did the obverse get toned? AT?

I do have end-roll Morgans that toned completely on the exposed obverse because the rolls were stored in canvas bags.

If the coin were album toned, wouldn't the reverse have full toning? Most collectors usually place a coin in an album with the reverse touching the paper. Just asking.

Hmmh ill have to look into that then. Maybe I can have buyers pay sales tax and remit to the proper authorities instead of coming out of pocket
