Why di9d we make a $1. red seal note?

    Numbers sez: "The Gold Certificates' seals are basically yellow too. It's approximately the same yellow as on the later North Africa notes, though who knows whether they used the exact same ink formula after a ten-year gap."

    I'll post pictures of both, you decide. I still think the gold is a bit more orange.

    in your pics, yes i agree.. but i have seen alot of notes over the years and alot of slightly different tones. so for a general statement, what Numbers said kind of still stands :)
