Look, it's not a 5. If that was said by a PCGS person then it is a poor reflection on the company. The main reason that PCGS coins trade better than the nearest competitor, is that PCGS has always been honorable about fixing their mistakes, whereas the other coin graders deny making mistakes. PCGS takes the high moral ground. Or did. Every competition can be gimmicked. And the people who do it think they are clever and they get away with something and they "win." The dealer on the bourse floors who takes every advantage never caring whether he sees you again as long as he gets your money now and it is your fault if you cannot tell a doctored coin, that person gets ahead and gets money and "wins." And yet, in the final analysis, that person is not healthy-looking. You can read their body and know it. The meanness of spirit eats through the flesh until nothing is fun any more because everything hurts too much. Myself, as a long time admirer of the works of Ayn Rand, I must confess shamefullly that as a collector, I have not cleared much profit from the buying and selling. I have, however, proudly made money as a writer. Like Burt in Mary Poppins, "I does what I likes and I likes what I do." If I could not enjoy the process, the money would be poor consolation. For me, numismatics (as much of life) is very much a matter of letting other people enjoy themselves -- though not at my expense. For instance, I expect to be able to write about this Website and the discussions and other features. As I do not write "exposes" the comments from and about PCGS are already forgotten.
