    3. Here's a Gallienus ant in the animal series with a sharp bust, complete inscriptions and a full antelope. A cursory search tells me that the antelope-left variety is much less common than antelope-right. This would be at least a thirty dollar purchase on vcoins. Bag this buck for $15.

    6. Here’s a very scarce triobol of Megalopolis with an old collector’s slip. This coin is very nice in hand, no problems, just honest wear and a bit of ancient crud. $35

Circa 175-168 BC. AR Triobol – Hemidrachm
Obv: Laureate head of Zeus left
Rev: Pan seated left on rock, holding lagobolon and raising hand; eagle left (may have some worn control marks in fields)
Ref: unsure, but one of a range of similar types in BMC Peloponnesos

    7. Alexander the Great bronze, There are some cleaning scratches on this coin, but they do not break through the patina, and you don’t really notice them in hand. It’s actually very pleasant coin in hand, with an imperious bust of Heracles in lion skin, and very nice reverse detail. The next time somebody wants to see your oldest coin, pass this 2400-year-old baby around. $30

    8. Here’s a wonderful semis of Trajan, no problems at all, just some wear. These coins were struck in Rome but intended for circulation in Syria. The legends advertise every single title the emperor held at the time. Obv.: IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GERM, Rev.: DAC PARTHICO PM TR POT XX COS VI P P. $36
