This coin is indeed a real error. They are only being found in Jacksonville and Chicago. I've already sold 6 for $1,100 =)

Hey I don't doubt ya man. But I was wondering what moniker they might hang on emm? I was thinking type -2 Or maybe~~ No edge lettering?~~ If it is a common error it may be called type -2 ------any other thoughts?

I don't think it is going to be that common in the end. I believe the miont messed up on the first shipment of halves to Jacksonville and Chicago, and once that amount is gone, there won't be many more of these errors.

    Mr. Sandler,

The ones with the smooth edges may be rare. Here on the West Coast it's a little more difficult to get the "P" mint dollars. We'll just have to wait and see if it will be worth much more. Just opened some "D" rolls and the ones with the upside down motto and date are very common. It's not an error. During the minting process they are randomly "stamped" this way.

Not only that but someone just said there is a error from Denver, how do you prove it if there is no mint mark?

Even if it comes in a roll with all Philly or Denvers you can not be sure with no date or mint mark:mouth:

So is the extra "zero" or "O" in the side an error or not?

    Thanks
