If the date is somewhat common you can buy raw coins for between 10 to 20 % over spot. So the just keep bullion value at the worst. However I did get an 1876S half liberty for 20% over spot.... As I remember quite a blurry photo from a non coin dealer..... When I got the coin I estimate it&#039;s might grade out as high as ms66.
