Your wife's not knowing sounds a lot like, "..gee, who is Goldline and why did they send matching watches.." which is EXACTLY why I am now trying very hard to keep my nose above the waterline on this board so I can learn... tee hee anyway!
    Enjoy the popcorn..

I got the big tub of popcorn as well and I didn't buy much from APMEX this year (I was waiting for gold to go back below 1000). Family enjoyed it and when stuff like that shows up, my wife just assumes it's some coin dealer.

She doesn't know about the stuff I bought earlier this year. She would want to know why the money wasn't spent on her. It was a nice touch. I've got time if she finds the popcorn tin to make something up. She does know about the bag of 40% halves I found in May and that I called Apmex to inquire about selling them. I was a little surprised at the box because I thought it might be a mistake or that I had accidentally ordered something.

When I get a box in the mail from APMEX or the US mint, my wife says, "You got some more coins in the mail", (roll of the eyes)...... "How much did these cost?"........... I always give a lowball estimate....... hehehehe

I happened to be sitting with my wife when I was viewing the APMEX web site the day the ATB 5 oz coins were available for sale. She agreed with buying them at the $1395 price and has enjoyed hearing all the subsequent developments in the story.
