Not getting your fees back is really annoying. I've had several cases in recent months where someone purchased an item and then immediately requested to cancel the order. I agreed to cancel because if I don't they could just try to return it later, but I'm out those fees even though I didn't do anything.

Here's something else buyers do. They buy ten items separately, pay separately, which means there's a separate payment fee for each item, and then expect me to refund most of the shipping cost, even though now I'm paying way more fees than I would if they bought all the coins together.

Also, someone can open an item not received case (half the time they're just trying to ask a question, but if they do it wrong then a case is opened) and then you have six business days for the item to arrive or give them a refund. And eBay will keep bugging you about it. I have a case right now where a buyer opened a case to ask me where the package was because the package was not scanned in by USPS for two weeks. It finally has been scanned in and estimated delivery is Friday, but today is the end of the six days so if the buyer decides to escalate the case then I'm sure I will lose even though the item is moving in the USPS system. It's the fact that everything is just automated and you can't appeal to reason that makes it bad. Sellers are expected to bend over backwards for the customer when the majority of the time it's not something the seller is responsible for. The post office provides terrible service and we're held responsible. I sent a bunch of items on June 3 and most of them haven't shown up in the system. I don't know what happened that day but I'm bracing for a wave of cases opened against me any time now.
