Welcome to CT. I don't actively collect patterns, but I do like to add one or two when I do a proof set. I recently completed a proof liberty nickel set, but I only managed to get a single pattern to accompany the set. This J-1671 had a mintage of about twenty five pieces and is one of my absolute favorites for its even lavender toning. image.jpg

It's beautiful, I don't have a J1671 but that looks like a great example! Cool idea to add a pattern in with a proof set.

Beautiful pattern! This is your nicest one posted, so far. Personally, my all time favorite experimental/pattern U.S. coin is the school girl silver $

The schoolgirl design is beautiful. I have seen recently a few exceptional ones come to market. The shield earring design is also pretty high up there on my list! Thanks for the post

Copper patter quarter from 1870. MS-64RB or maybe PF-64RB but it has a beautiful tone. It just went out for a new slab so the photo could be taken properly.

Several serious collectors here!! My favorite is the "School Girl" followed by
the "Shield Earring" and "Amazonian". Since the 25 year limit has run its course
with the ASE and AGE lets replace the design with the classic pattern designs.
Every 2-3 years a new classic design could be used. How neat would it be to see
the "School Girl" design in gold?

That would be a very cool idea, and would certainly have significant interest

I should have had PCGS TruView it for me but I usually stick to NGC and had a friend submit this for me for a simple reholder.

I do have an exceptional photographer in our very own Bob Campbell @robec who has been snapping some wonderful images for me. You can see his work scattered throughout the Newest Acquisition thread. Him and @winged Liberty have some amazing toned coins.
