I'm sure there are people in S. America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East that see our money all the time. There was a time when we only put Liberty on our coins and she was seen "sowing the seeds of democracy and freedom" like on the Walker, which to me says that if you struggle for democracy, we will help! She also depicts "liberty of thought" on the merc dime. So people in the Middle East that get their heads cut off for having a thought of their own, could sit and ponder about a free society instead of "who was this guy?(FDR)". In other words, We should advertise on our coins and currency to other people of the world what and how great America/freedom really is, not what president needed more recognition. Get them a library or something. I propose a return to Liberty as the only figure on our coins and other images that show the supreme bounty of Freedom and hard work. Farming, mining and other industry, as well as political symbols that depict an open society with elected leaders. Put that in the hands and pockets of every person in the world and I would say it could help change attitudes at home as well as abroad. OK, my rant is over.

Matt[/QUOTE]
