Well, I've been saving my coin budget for the past couple months (and will continue for this month and next) so that I can have quite the time at the Indy coin show in mid February. I only have 6 more left for my Franklin set which I am hopeful I can find at the show, then it's on to upgrading. So, if everything goes accordingly, I'll have a little extra to start a new series. The big question: which one? I've narrowed it down to three and can't quite decide:

1.) Lincoln cents-the Woody thread and Guess the Grade thread has really turned me back into this series I started as a kid. I thought about putting an eclectic collection together of woodies, reds, browns, etc. Plus, the new shield cent is awesome! I'm just not sure about all the varieties. Second issue I foresee is that these will be too easy to collect after the 1930’s. I want a little bit of a challenge.

2.) Morgans-Here is a challenge! Again, the Post a Morgan thread made me think, "Wow, beautiful coins." I would love to put together a circulated set, say in F-VF. Price may be an issue with some years though. Do I really want to collect something that may have so many unfilled holes...things to consider.

3. Washington Quarters-I don’t have any in my collection. I really don’t know why. There have been worse eagles on coins. It does have some symbolism and is relatively inexpensive. I don’t like the state quarter idea…collecting p, d, s of every state/national park quarter can become old…really quick.

I know to which of the three I’m leaning to at the moment. In all honesty, I’ll probably not start any series as I don’t know how to properly and consistently grade any of them. Still…six coins away and I’ll need something to fill the coin crazed mind. Thoughts, opinions?
