I am new to coins and have the opportunity to buy a collection that my Grandmother inherited. I have done lots of research and have had them at a couple dealers to see if they thought they were real and get bids for the entire collection. The dealers all think they are genuine. Two dealers thought sending them in to get graded would be best, one said it wasn't necessary and if they were graded it wouldn't increase his bid (he had the highest bid by far).

I am interested to know what others thought of getting these keys and semi keys graded and which service would be best. I lean towards PCGS as they seem to be the best with the best values, but some have problems and I am not sure they will grade without problems. NGC will apparently grade coins with problems, but end values are slightly less. I would have to join either one to send coins in and would prefer to only join one club. I would not plan on selling them, but want to do what is best for future values and for protecting the coins.

Any opinions would be valued.

Some of these coin pics were posted before.

1877 Indian head

1909 S VDB (Upper Left)
