I CRH and have an account at a couple banks just to spread my bases and get a variety (with less chance of getting my returns back). Also, remember to bring chocolate for the ladies. It goes a long way. You'll find them more willing to help and even hold onto stuff for you if you build a relationship with them.

If you are hunting for older coins ask for customer wrapped rolls. That's where I've found most of my gems. Coin terminal wrapped (Loomis, string, etc) will have some good stuff too, but I've found a lot of would-have-been-great coins that were damaged by their machines. If you're looking for UNC then you need to ask the teller for new "fed" (it irks me because they're not from the fed, but that's what they know them as) rolls of new coins. I get them often here in Baltimore from the philly mint.

Some banks charge to sort coins now and some people buy the paper wrappers from the dollar store to rewrap, but I just go through the roll and use the same paper to send them back in. You can carefully use a pocket knife to unroll the terminal rolls crimped end and just fold it back when repacked.

Most banks will order you boxes of anything you want upon request and I've heard of some charging fees per roll, but it is always better than buying "unsearched rolls" on the bay. Trust me. I spent a rack on an unsearched roll of BU Peace dollars, a roll of mercury dimes and 5 rolls of wheaties. After I pulled the ones I wanted out it took A LOT of work to only be $200 upside down on the deal. It just ain't worth it. It's like buying a scratch off that deep down inside you know was already scratched and re coated somehow, no matter how genuine it looks. Bad investment.

If it's silver you're looking for go the half dollar route. I don't do boxes (as often as many on here) but ask the tellers at the bank if they have any loose in their till. Once or twice a month that gets me one or two pices of silver at .50 a piece. There are some silver dimes and quarters still out there, but that's a tough grind.

Figure out what you want to get out of CRH and go for it. You can always switch it up because it's your game. The most important thing is to have fun. I look forward to seeing what you find out there!

@u812? Ok...so there are a few bloated heads on here but @cpm9ball isn't one of them. I've gained much insight from him and think all he was trying to say is dont hijack someone's thread with your issue. Search eBay for unc lmc and you'll pay a premium, but you'll have what you want. I see adds for them in coinworld as well.
