Which is better?. proof set or silver proof set.

    The plastic proof cases are easily opened by sliding your fingernail between the plastic pieces, and again are easily closed!!

    proof cases

    now it again confussed me. some said it can be open and re-use. some said it can't be. which is which?. may be some early years cases can be open and lately cases can't be open. i tried my 2003 to 2005. it won't open. please help before i call u.s. mint directly to confirm.

    Sets from 1999 and later are easy to open since they are not sonically sealed. If you look at the edge of the case, you can see where the two case halves come together. Push in a sharp knife in the corner and wiggle it a little and the case will open.

    silver, the winner

    by checking again and again on these two set. silver and clad proof. finally, its silver again. silver is better than clad proof. no wonder the silver set is increasing while the clad proof is decreasing.

    proof or silver proof

    i want mint uncirculated set. it's cheaper and more coins. i don't have to take care of it compare to proof or silver proof set.
