Now THAT coin I would be happy to have in my collection. The blues are lovely, and this coin now wins hands down over the old rattler in my opinion. Nice images!!!
I'm a fan of toned coins, so this is an easy pick for me (after seeing the newer photos). Keep the toned one.
I don't like how they stack, how they rattle, how fragile they seem. just not convenient storing them.
My initial thought was to go with the rattler slab example...but with the second pics of the toning showing the color better, I'd keep the toned coin.
The one in the old holder. I don't like the toning on the other one. That's just me though. Also the one in the newer holder has some pretty MAJOR scratches on Liberty's neck.
I think you kept the stronger coin of the 2 based on the reverse. Both are superb examples and one can see why it was not easy to make a choice.
And YOU would know when a better one came by??? LOL I think you've got pretty big 1's to insult another member's coins, when we KNOW what YOU think are nice coins....unless you were shooting for counterfeit examples all along, hence your using Craig's List as your 'one stop for all your numismatic shopping needs'.
I'll bet you can find all these better coins in segs, acg, gcgs, ani, nnc, nes, wcg, unc, nga, sgs, and pgs holders right?
