That's right, on the back of the 500 MXN is the painter Diego Rivera, I scanned them today.

That 500 MXN banknote has been in circulation for a long time now, however it is less and less common to see them because here in Mexico they are releasing new banknotes designs all the time [every 4 or 5 years or something like that] and even special editions, so these ones that I have [which are not so mistreated] I'm going to save them

I’m pretty sure there’s more women than men on banknotes, as a whole, if you include the allegorical figures

 

She WAS the monarch at the time, so makes sense, no?

 

The date of the banknote is 1910.

I guess it’s Sort of like how we still have G Wash on our bills in 2022 despite the dude dying back in like 1790-whatever
