[QUOTE="Daggarjon, post: 1031327, member: 4230"]I recently recieved a bunch of coins which made me wonder about their authenticity.

Please take a look at the below images and tell me you opinion as to if the coins are real or not. The first 2 images are Vietnam 1 Dong coins. The first looks like it has been sandblasted. I has a very high degree of frosted appearance. The second coin looks like a normal coin. The 2 coins in hand look worlds apart! The last coin is a French Indo China 20 cents coin. The coin looks alot better in hand than the image, but has all these pok-marks, or little holes, all over the place.

The frosting on the 1 Dong coin also looks to be present on a 1/2cent coin from French Indo China, but a second 1/2 cent coin doesnt look to exhibit the same frosting. I also have a 1 Hao and a 5 hao from Vietnam that also look to have this strange effect. But i have 3 200 Dong coins that looks to be proof with mirrored background.

Its a very strange group of coins, but i get this weird feeling they are fake.
