I like #1. The price will be reasonable and the coin could be easily sold if you find a better coin later. Good luck.
I would buy them both as well. Look at both under a halogen light and choose the nicest of the two. Then I would sell the other one.
what issues? It was a simple A or B choice, and you don't even know the buyer's criteria or that either coin has issues. Why would you wait, and better in what way?
I prefer coins without fingerprints... so while I like #1 - I would like it more without a fingerprint... #2 seems to lack detail - not sure if it is the strike or photo lighting or both... I did not notice the sales price of the cents... if they were cheap sure buy both but if we are talking $15+ per coin - I would consider something like #1 without the fingerprint...
Neither. This is not a difficult coin...plenty more to choose from. Unless, of course, you enjoy fingerprints or like the MS70-cleaned color. Lance.
I feel that #1 was messed with but is still really pretty. At the right price, I would have bought both as well.
Messed with how exactly? Whilst i think i know what youre gonna say, id rather be sure. Im trying to learn about toned copper 'cause i like it but dont know the ins/outs just yet
I got the cents today. I will be returning the first one. The luster is very subdued, and the marks are of a fingerprint. The seller took the pictures in the best possible light, and the coin looks much worse than the pictures. There are also several scratches on the obverse that were not mentioned by the seller. The second one looked much better that the photos. The luster is radiant and the color is a gorgeous deep red-brown. There are some marks on the obverse that will hold it to an MS-63. I will be keeping this one.
