The Fed greatly updated their fitness-scanning equipment in 2014 in response to Series 2009 bills being stamped with &quot;Tax Cheat&quot; (or similar) above Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner&#039;s signature. Before then, round stamps over the FRB seal and stamps in the margins would make it back out with ease.
