The part about the colors is very real. Fred's maintstay in life is buying $2 bills and dollar coins. That is where, proportionately to other denominations, most of his experience lies. Like I have said earlier, the threshold/condition requirements for reissuing twos is much lower than other denominations. Considering how much less twos are used than other denominations in the world, they should not be taken too seriously when considering what the government does and does not reissue.

I have gone through a great many of government processed "FRB" straps of $1 notes and nearly every single note in them that has had a stamp has been red. There was one exception last year where a note was stamped in blue on the back of the note but this stamp was very faded. It may be concluded that the vast majority of stamped notes that are reissued for circulation from the government are in fact, stamped in red. With that conclusion it may now be stated through the use of deductive logic that notes stamped with other colors (blue, black, purple, green etc.) are by and large, rejected and destroyed.
