Not when you have to many to list i dont believe. Geese i have received more flack from this website of collectors. I dont understand why some people are so negative surely you could think that maybe i have to many to list without the sarcasm. silver is silver weather coins, bars, etc.

Thank you. It was just a general question. Wondering what experienced collectors do when they go to sell their own items.

They make a detailed list of what they have and then try to determine the best place to sell each item. Different items, different places. If they need help to decide they also ask and try to answer the questions they are asked so that they can receive the best advice.

I've seen a lot of help being offered already, so either listen or don't. You probably won't get help showing that type of response.

    We're trying to help, honest.

I've got too much stuff to list in my garage, but that doesn't mean that I can just say "where's the best place to sell it" and get good answers. There's a nice bicycle, a few beat-up bicycles, a router table, some boxes of books, a bunch of hand tools, some garden supplies, a couple of telescopes and microscopes, a vacuum pump, some glassware -- where's the best place to sell it? Surely you don't want me to take the time to list everything?

You're giving us more information, slowly, and grousing about our efforts to help. That's not the way to reduce sarcasm.

BTW, I've never seen the term "silver weather coins". Can you explain that one next?

Edit: Google is my friend. There's apparently another Canadian novelty issue, 1 oz rounds colorized with weather phenomena.

Well i have ask for either help or like this time just a general question and some of the members on here get quite verbal weather its my ignorance of coin collecting or i dont ask the question in proper form or use wrong terminology. Im not trying to sell anything i was just curious because sometime people may want to sell off some of their collection to either buy more or whatever.

    Sorry, my mistake.

It just seeemed like your post #17 was not consistent with the knowledge you demonstrated in other threads.

    And I imagined the worst.

I guess if a person isnt an experienced collector they should not come here for reasonable help. Sorry im not versed in the collecting hobby as you are are. Why do you let inexperienced people join if your just gonna bash them? You must feel like a big guy tearing down someone who doesnt know the feild as well as you do excuse me for joining.

Make a fun weekend out of it and rent a space at a coin show. Can be expensive way to sell, but a lot of fun.

I can't tell you the "best" place, but I can tell you the worst--Coin World Wholesalers in NY. They ripped me off for over $15,000 on coins I sent them. Total thieves. I suggest going to local dealers in person and selling small amounts to find the best for you.
    Good luck.

Being a coin dealer I, of course, would answer that with .......

    "With ME!"

Seriously, if you're not in a hurry, post some clear pics. Is the best way to get accurate information. Just a few at a time. Even bullion.

garage sales (I've bought many from local ones - morgans, etc)
    pawn shops / craigslist etc
    coin shops
    coin shows
    ebay
    internet coin/ PM websites
contacting a local coin expert, look up on internet.
    APMEX, Providentmetals

it all comes down to what specifically you have to sell, how much you have to sell, how much it's worth, what time you want to put into getting the most value from it, etc etc etc.

I suspect that the positive answers supplied by the believed knowledgeable experienced individuals participating on this site, may be the correct answer for many.

I personally have been selling my generally better than market offerings "estate" at less than published market offerings, on Craigslist (with protective measures) with reference to eBid closing (with free shipping for concerned buyers), and eBid directly, which allows internet offering through other venues.

This site is also a possibility, generally when with less than market pricing/availability.
