I've paid $300 for both tubed and bank wrapped 1943-S Lincolns and threw them in the bargain bin because they were ruined with corrosion. Sometimes you'll buy say a roll of 1955-S Lincoln's and the end coins are fine but end up with 35 circulated wheat's because that was the way the wrapped them then. The seller having unopened original stuff did not know nor can you go back on them - you pay your penny and take your ride! I have had the oppertunity to open and search perhaps only 15 original mint sewn bags of Lincoln's in my time and they are dwindlin fast in the market. The bags that are left are mostly like 1979, 77, 74 - the years with very few doubled dies and I will not even pay double face for those bags - you just can't come out on them plus if you had to ship them it would be murder.

So keep learning and gathering info and wait to buy is my advice for you.[/QUOTE]
