As I get distracted from my U.S. Type Set, either due to inability to find "just the right coin" or lack of funds, every now and then I meander back to the United Kingdom. I get various coins in junk boxes or coin reject slots, but I'm starting to want some proof coins. There are some for sale here, and I am inquiring about them as we speak. But many sets have more than what I really want. The coins that mainly interest me are: * minor "shield design" coins * The King James Bible £2 commemorative * some other 2 pound coins * LOTS of others The 2011 7-coin commemorative proof set may fit the bill. Can someone direct me to a website that would show me most/all of the different designs that have been created? Clad (if those exist) or silver; no gold or similarly-priced metals. Sets that cost >$100 can also be excluded. Thanks.
The Royal Mint Website has pictures and design details of every £2 coin ever struck I tried to put the link on here but it won`t open for me. Google "Royal Mint £2 Coin" All the commemorative sets are also displayed. PS You do know it has been announced a new £100 silver coin is just around the corner http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-30623562
