I also said, if there was no YT, this same info would be in some website and they would hype the same info there..information about a coin that sold for tens of thousands.&nbsp; People go to YouTube because it&#039;s the simplest and easiest platform to get information.&nbsp; The content of those videos are from other sources.</p><p><br /></p><p>Your argument was &quot;observed fact&quot; because that&#039;s what you mostly remember seeing from all the new posters on CT.&nbsp; I call that selective memory.&nbsp; I&#039;ve seen some reference doubleddie or varietyvista which also publishes the 82 copper cent, the 55 and 69 DDO and other get rich quick coins.&nbsp; Why are you not up in arms over those websites? </p><p><br /></p><p>As for TPGs, check the price guide on PCGS.com, look at the prices of cents in different MS grade.&nbsp; Cent that is set at thousands of dollars, did PCGS poll the youtubers to get that price?&nbsp; No.&nbsp; Now I learned recently (from a thread I started) that TPGs sets their price guide based on the market (buying &amp; selling) which guess what, happens at auction houses/coins shows and not at clown shows OR YOUTUBE.&nbsp; If you&#039;re going to blame someone or something, you should look at them because they&#039;re the ones that drives the buying and selling. They help drive the price of a coin a bazillion percent more than its face value.&nbsp; When someone finds a semi-rare cent and goes on Heritage, guess what Heritage does?&nbsp; They promote it like crazy, they hype it up because they want people to fight for a penny...A PENNY. The higher the bid gets, the more money they make.
