But its been a while since ive been active on here.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>For me, I started getting to the point in my collecting where for me to be satisfied and happy with a coin for my collection I would need to blow upwards of 75 dollars.&nbsp; So i could buy maybe 5 coins a year AT MOST.&nbsp; So i would go to a show all happy with my 100 dollars, buy one coin that i needed for my type set and then be done, and out 75 dollars.&nbsp; Now, of course, I loved the coin I bought and it was beautiful to look at.&nbsp; But the hobby kind of lost that thrill of the hunt, which is what got me into collecting in the first place, roll searching...&nbsp;&nbsp; But then roll searching wasn&#039;t enough, so i moved on and on and it kept growing and growing, until i couldnt afford it any more.&nbsp; So i tried to find another hobby where the thrill of the hunt still exists.&nbsp; I found sports cards and through the mail autographs.&nbsp; With sports cards, you could buy a 2 dollar pack and maybe pull out a 500 dollar card.&nbsp; And with through the mail autographs, I always run to my mailbox whenever i get home hoping that someone I sent an autograph request to was kind enough to return it.&nbsp; I love that aspect of any hobby, the thrill of the hunt.</p><p><br /></p><p>But with sports cards, I joined another forum and at first really enjoyed it, but the more i participate the more i see it is for the money and most people dont really enjoy what they collect.</p><p><br /></p><p>Now every once in a while I come back to this forum and remember the good times i had here.&nbsp; Hopefully at some point, I can somehow find a way in coin collecting to get that &quot;thrill of the hunt&quot; that I always yearn for.</p><p><br /></p><p>Well, thats my story.....</p><p><br /></p><p>monkeyman[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
