Over the years the old pennies have been tossed everywhere in my house. Today I started gathering them all and putting them in one place. I ran across this strange looking penny. Any thoughts?

It looks like a filled die error, which doesn't have much value but is still cool!

Sure... A Lincoln cent from the first century AD!.... Seriously, that has all the earmarks of what is called a "grease filled die". Not terribly uncommon but makes for a darned interesting piece! Welcome to CT.
