I am totally newbie with regards to "world coin" as I am collector of Eastern Roman/Byzantine coins(from 395-1453). I really want four Russian coins of; Ivan III, Peter the Great, Catherine II the Great, and Nicolas II. I also want a coin with face of Elizabeth I of England, and a coin that circulated in England during Isaac Newton's and John Locke's time(ca 1650-1700), and a coin that circulated in 1940-1945 when the Britons defeated Hitler and Luffwaffe. I have searched in Ma-shop, and they look affordable. But I want to ask you: can you recommend me some reputable coin dealers who may have experience in term of detecting counterfeits, and who offer realistic prices for their coins? If a coin is worth 50 Euro I have no problem of paying 70 Euro for that. But I will not pay 150 Euro for a coin that is worth 50 Euro. Can you help me? I live in Europe if it helps.
