Deception on either end of a deal is bad business, Isaiah, I hope you win that coin.:kewl:

The best way of avoiding someone outbidding you is to not tell anyone what you are bidding on. IF the coin was a desirable one and you call attention to it you could almost expect that someone else might jump on it. Such is not the case with the coin you're looking at, but I'm just saying....

If you did not want anyone's opinion, Isaiah, why ask?

Oops, I guess that you didn't.

Enough said. This site is hopefully for normal people who sincerely like coin collecting and want to be part of an online community of people who can help each other learn and grow. This site has helped me immensely both learn and grow, and actually save money. I have learned that I have been tricked by deceptive photos to buy coins that are essentially screwed up. I have learned that I have screwed up some of my coins, though through good intentions, without the proper knowledge. I have learned that education and caution are of paramount importance to grow a nice collection and preserve. I have learned to try anything I am not familar with on low value coins (acetone, oils, rosethorns, dips, etc) and perfect those techniques before trying on any coin of value. I have learned how to hold a coin, how to store coins, and how to preserve them. I have learned which coins are likely to hold value and which ones could lose. I appreciate this site and those who take the time to contribute to it from their own busy lives. I appreciate Doug, RLM, Jack, Snaz, Condor101, Jim, Peter Davies, Dru, Coinfreek, Zane, and many others including Doug's assistant Spock:eek:. Mr. Isaiah- in all sincerity, IMHO you do not appreciate people's help and post here for some attention seeking reasons. Take a moral inventory. :desk::cool::crying::hatch:

Boss, you have handled it all very professionally and have gained acceptance for your honesty and desire to learn. My hat's off to you. Glad you have joined with us. Once you learn a person is deceptive and an outright liar, it is difficult to accept them not just once, but 2 or 3 times, with more to come I am sure. It is often difficult for a young person who has always been told how bright they are, actually comes to grip with the idea there are things in life they can not bluff or lie their way through, and the idea that there might actually be others who are as intelligent or more so than they are. When a person lies once, it is a fateful path that it will end wrong for them. Bad Karma is to be avoided.
