When to pay tax, when not to?

After reading a hundred discussions on taxes here, I find I'm actually thankful I live in CA. Theres no worries here when it comes to figuring out what is taxed, because it's everything...literally, right down to the air we breathe. Takes all the guesswork out of it.

Lots of truth to that actually. I hated east coast states worst than ca when i did the returns.

 

Wrong!!! Food isn't taxed...that is if it is food that has to be cooked and not food that is bought ready to be consumed...given that the food...you're right, they tax everything.
