*sigh* I just don’t see the need to let things get to this point. I’m not one to talk about picking battles, but I’d rather have more collectors who need to work on terminology than none at all.
While I completely agree with your first paragraph, your last sentence, that was completely out of line paddy and you know it ! Not that it makes it alright, but which was in my opinion the result of anger and misunderstanding. This, I say to everybody. A bit more effort, by everyone, to be less curt, to be a little more forgiving, little more understanding - that would go a long ways !
I have been collecting since you were crapping diapers. Expert at what? Dogging people and trying your best to get them to believe you and only you. Thats no more than an expert is - edited - < So Clam It before you make a mistake and get blackballed from ANA or whomever you think you are better than!!!!!!!! I can get better advise on coins from a comic book.
I was reprimanded by a moderator. So I will be the first to apologize. I am sorry. I won't bother you again.. so let's move on with our mission here of learning and enjoying our hobby. Peace
M, take a look at the 2nd pix of the reverse you posted above. Blow it up and look at the wheat grains beside the C in cents. They seem pretty scrambled up. Now go straight across the rev. to the same spot on the right side and notice the uniformity of the grains. That die marker is indicative to a DDR I read before on the Wheat sent. I know its a longshot but scroll through this paper and look for those differences on all the coins listed and you might come up with a date. At least its' a start. this one is possible "1936 DDR-006 Designation: 6-R-II-C+VI (3) Description: Very light triple spread on Left wheat ear with extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM and both wheat ears and stems" but go to here and search for all DDR's on wheats http://www.varietyvista.com/CONECA Master Listings.htm
There's always an answer. I used to think(20 years ago te 1945-1958 wheats were worthless, but slsd! They have found alot more about them than they used ti know..Read this one too http://koinpro.tripod.com/ErrorVarietyList.htm
I am trying to take the best pictures I can what should I buy to get really great magnified pictures. And I love the triple s
Back in the day when the best you could buy was a Canon Sure Shot, I shot literally hundreds of tiny gold nuggets from behind a desk mounted lit magnifying glass. Detail was fantastic....plus it made them look giant. I shot this really crappy shot of a 1922 weak D holding a 60x loupe on the end of a Sony lens.
