I personally do not set a budget...there are many notes that I buy that never get posted here...When I make a significant Large Size or Small Size purchase for that matter, I like to share it with you guys... My goals are huge and have been told by many well known collectors it is unlikely I will ever realize completion due to lack of material out there in the Grades that I collect in. My additions can be spontaneous.... as when you find a note you need, grab it now because more than likely another collector is right behind you in most cases if it is a significant note you are after. Early this morning I was looking at a site and discovered a Large Size Blue Seal I need for the NY Collection..it just happens to be the highest Graded note at PCGS and between the 2 top TPG it is one of 7 in CHCU and the second finest Graded note known. I will wait till they open on Monday and call, buy the note and then when I receive it, hopefully share it with you all. I have one note in my collection that I am still paying for..and will pay off with in the next 45 days...it is by far the Top Note in my collection of Large Size...when I hold the 44 Large Size Notes in my hands it makes my mind reel in contemplation of what and where they were and how on Earth they ever made it to me. May God grant me the right to preserve and protect a part of History until the next in line (my son AJ) comes into his own and hopefully continues. So think about it..when you see a note you really need, can you afford to wait? Or do you simply react to the situation at hand and acquire the piece? Another question that would be good is; Whats in your Numismatic Library..I currently have 16 Books on Notes from the United States, SPMC Membership, PCGS and PMG Memberships and a Banknote Reporter Subscription that I read through daily.
