So this coin has me very intrigued i pulled it from a new coin roll and this one stood out to me the bumps are not on top of the coin yet its under the copper itself when magnified I can see that its not a outside source idk maybe im just thinking too much into it and its probably a chemical issue after the fact but again under magnification the bumps are under the copper coating so let me know what yall think I have been quiet for a while I stopped coin roll hunting after my last posts just because I thought it was something unique and turned out most said it was a chemical issue after the fact but I still think I have something with it ive had it under magnification too and it looks like a stamping issue/ minting mistake but im not a professional so ill talk yalls word for it thanks again its been way too long and well im back to coin hunting my friends
Plating blisters. Little pockets of gas trapped between the zinc core and the copper plating. Happens all the time with Zincolns. Nothing worth holding on to.
The blisters/bumps are pretty common. You will find many like this. The coin you posted years back is just the copper toning. Over time copper tones from red to brown. Different colors may show based on how the coin is stored.
Kk thanks guys coin is gone and back to hunting one day ill find something worth more than a penny haha
