Why? It's gotta be a fake. We all know that PCGS never makes mistakes.

Label checks out. He's close to the PCGS price guide. Even if I were inclined to pay that much for a coin, it wouldn't go through EBay.....

What am I missing here? Is the coin description not correct? Is OP unfamiliar with Secure grading with shield on label? What is it?

Label says it is an 1807 50c, and the coin is a $5 gold......

it happens no big deal, just a pain in the neck to get it corrected.
I have this one and keep it because they aren't 1976S PR69DC 25c labled 50C-horz.jpg around any more

Most likely there was a 1807 50c in the submission as well and they got the labels mixed up. I've seen that happen before. In the Heritage sale of the Marshall conder token collection there were two cases where consecutive lots had wrong labels with the labels switched in the slabs on the two consecutive lots.

At least they got it into the right auction category. :)

Nice coin. I bet they screwed up the labels. I've seen it happen before
