This year the RCM has been on fire! On the top of my head they already issued maples with these varieties in the first 3 months of 2016 alone (not in order of issue):

    1. Normal one
    2. Radial one
    3. Panda privy
    4. Monkey privy
    5. Tank privy
    6. 4-leaf Clover privy
    7. Yin Yang privy
    8. Grizzly Bear privy
    9. Reflection Maple
    10. Gilt reverse proof
I'm pretty sure these will be coming ahead too:
    11. F15
    12. Proof
    13. Some kind of hologram version

Even the Perth Mint couldn't keep up (yet) Am I missing any variety? Any other silver maple collectors out there?

    Cheers,

    Lawrence

The RCM often partners with dealers for product exclusives. When you consider the number of larger retailers that have this kind of marketing ability and then add in the mint's standard releases, you can quickly end up with many different products that are essentially the same thing with different little animals on them... They are basically throwing as much at the wall as they can to see what sticks. Perth does this as well.

I personally find the frosty maple leaf privy coins to be quite stunning. I pick up various different kinds, usually sticking to the animals and avoiding versions like tanks or coin shows. They are often priced well when they are first released, but prices can quickly jump in the months following.

I like 'em too. And I really like the TANK privy -- a nice change from animals...

And the amount of detail is pretty amazing for something so small...

But it's hard to keep up with all the different privy designs. Anyway, some of the designs don't interest me (Shows especially).

So when I see one I like, I buy it.

I really like that one too. While I do think some of them are a bit silly like the ANA one I actually think the privy is a nice change of pace and addition in a lot of instances.
