What's the story behind your avatar?

Grandfather once mentioned to me that he lived in 'Gods country'. He also mentioned that no one dies here....'cept only the undertaker......and he starves to death.......

Funny. I always thought my home state of West Virginia is God's country. Perhaps God's country is pretty big, eh?

 

Has to be... When I lived in Newfoundland, I understood that to be 'God's Country'..... But a friend from North Carolina said it was really NC that was .... because 'If God was not a Tarheel, then why is the sky Carolina Blue?"

 

Mountain State? Indeed it could be dear Bing. But Grandfather of late was referring to upstate NY. He lived near Petersburg pass and I assure you, the place was most eminent for 'Gods country'.

 

And why the song Almost Heaven, West Virginia? Makes ya wonder doesn't it?

 

Too bad the author couldn't fly planes....

Rip Van Winkle left Kattskill and that was what now Catskill. he walked in mountains he fell asleep for 100 years the story goes but God's country???
All I know is that story made millions off tourist attractions and destination for years
T.v. now has Sleepy Hollow Iicabob here when down with General Washington. No telling how much money the area is making from that tall tale.

I used to have coin pictures as my avatar but I can't remember which one now. My current avatar is more of my personality/ username/ my hobby. I have always liked the cold, rain and things towards the dark side of things. I guess its because I read one too many dark fantasy books when I was young. So there you go, the moon, rain and darkness all rolled into one by using photoshop which is another one my hobbies, digital imaging.
