Curious. I can't see any reason why a collector would pay over face value other than for convenience , the savings on gas driving to bank and possibly putting a value on time procuring the coins. Estimating based on weight. Ive managed to accumulate just over 5k (over 200 lbs) in Nickles Dimes and Quarters. I am familiar with cents and have seen that a tiny premium over face value plus shipping is paid for memorial cents. Okokokko I should just go look. ugh.. Do modern dimes nickels and quarters sell the same way? I think I am going to feel guilty taking the coins to the bank to cash in without at least providing the opportunity. is this the right forum? I should have asked in roll hunters?

Nickels have in the past, but copper is down enough at the moment to make them worth less as melt.
