1 cent. It is just a regular copper-plated zinc cent.

Denver only made these (1982 small date) in zinc, 2.5 grams. Worth .01 cent.
They made 17 billion cents in 1982, Philly and Denver, Large Date and Small Date, copper and zinc.
One single 1982-D small date copper has been found in 36 years. (3.1g)
Maybe another will turn up one day.
The 1982 small date Philly (no mint mark) in copper or zinc has a little value
in mint state. (Brand new looking),

I am the proud owner of six 1982 D small date pennies with varying weights over 3 grams. One is exactly 3.11 grams.

Unlikely, only two have been found to date. If you have 6 it would be the find of a lifetime! Please post some pictures, I hope I am wrong!

Yes the new count of 1982-D small date copper coins is now up to 2.
I was optimistic that another one would be found, but it was found more quickly than I imagined.
Robin your odds are billions-1 that if they are copper, they are large dates.
    Compare with this photo:
    1982-varieties-revised.jpg
One of the confusions for new collectors is that the 2 in the large date 1982 appears to be smaller in size and that the 2 in the small date 1982 appears larger in size. The small date 2 is a very delicate and fully formed 2, and the large date 2 is a sloppy 2.

As they say, pictures or it didn't happen. So far EVERY person that has come here claiming to have an 82 D small date copper has turned out to have large dates when they post pictures.

Why is the OP weighing coins if she doesn't even know what the result means?
