If a coin goes into a "prong" insert <i>after</i> it's been well-photographed, OK, but I hate it when the only available pictures have four white "bites" taken out of the coin by the stupid prongs. I wish NGC would only use Edge View inserts on coins that actually have edge lettering, and would go back to their old inserts for everything else. Or better yet, adopt a clear insert with less intrusive prongs like PCGS uses.
