    Just saw this as you originally posted it long before I joined CT. Thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a few things. One thing I had a question about:

    I already know about the "k" positioning nomenclature but I didn't know the "k" stood for "Kolit". Is that someone's name?

    It was developed by Michael Kolman, together with Dr. Jack Litman (hence "ko-lit"). You can read a brief biography of him here: https://nnp.wustl.edu/library/PersonDetail/1165

    "k" positions aren't really used much any more, people just say "5 o'clock"
