I'm having a little trouble with this one. I believe this is Afghanistan Rupee KM 842 and that the date is 1323. The only issue is, there's no 1323 on the catalog. Any help or thoughts on this one?

If it's not listed in the catalog, it's probably one of those that are listed.
Nice old silver. Is the date written in Arabic? Was it translated to 1323?

My only thought is that it could be double struck and thus the top part of the 2 could be showing funny. Even so, the red circled number to the right looks much more like a 3 (to the left). There are overstrikes listed 1326/3 making me wonder if it survived being restruck?

Looks like 1324 to me too. Need to use the Malay-Persian numerical system, not Arabic-Turkish. The character for number 4 differs most between the two.

Thank you! I guess I couldn’t get my brain off Arabic numerals. I even looked up the Pashto number 4, but I guess I was being too narrow in my search. @Michael K I guess Persian is the right answer for the this. I do think it’s a cool coin :)

I think the year conversion is 1905.
And 1324 makes sense. They prob just didn't make them in 1323,
or it would have a listing. Good people here with the correct answers
    to coin related questions.

Haha, the answer was indeed as obvious as you implied. I’m glad I asked instead of convincing myself I had a rarity. I feel a bit silly now, but am at least better informed.

They are cool. Pretty crude, but cool. I just got this last week. Half Afghani 1306AH, 1927.
