Thinking about Santinidollar's suggestion, I really like the idea of famous battles of WW II. My father was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. Think of D-Day, Midway, Iwo Jima, Sicily, North Africa...

The inventer's series would be interesting. The American Dream Series could be cool, though it would probably start a political argument of who should be honored. There are many who, through the face of adversity, were great contributors to the good part of the American Society as we know it today.

Why does it have to be a series? Commission true artists to come up with interesting designs, choose the best and leave it alone. These ridiculous, endless series are impossible to create with great designs.

The February Coinage magazine profiled the year 1909. At the time the average American was making $555 a year. Victor David Brenner was awarded $1000 to design the new Lincoln coin. An equally generous stipend would motivate modern artists.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Is there really much interest in another long, drawn out series? Haven't we had enough already?

Give me Liberty, or give me death.

And let's be done with it.
