What would you grade this 89 CC?

    Counterfeit.

    I don't care for the wire rim or fin at the top of the obverse. I am also concerned about the weakness in the "Y" of "LIBERTY" which should be strong. That is not area for that much wear. The denticles are doubled on the obverse, and there are little chucks of metal around the edge of the design on the reverse.

    I'm no Morgan expert but it looks like a counterfeit to me. ;)

    Doesn't match the known VAMs for mm location, etc:

    Does match the bad 1881-CC reverse.

    And the seller ended the auction...
