Because the damage also shows on the reverse it is post mint damage, not an error

 

Im sorry I don't see it on the back. You can see where here is a dip where it should say God We right? It is not clipped, the back is full.

 

The rim damage on the rear was caused when this coin got damaged if it happened while in the collar the rim on the reverse would be full. Look at the rim below the wheat stalks.

 

would you know how it happened? my daughter says it looks like an air bubble

 

Is it a dent into the coin or does it stick out from the surface? the photos look like it dents in to me

At some point the coin was crushed on that edge but not at the mint

 

wow that's shocking because of the way the lettering is. i just keep looking at it. I have seen them like cut or a part missing not like this. I thank you
