guess I gotta go to the bank and see if they will trade my penny collection in for some of these "cents". Man, I hate starting over.
Copperwired, Swallowing a silver coin and having it pass through your gastrointestinal tract with say a nice vinaigrette dressing and a mouth full of match heads may add some wonderful toning. I don't think it happened to this penny. Looks like lots of heat.
Why is this AT? Sometimes it could be the only way to "Keep" them. Is that too hard to swallow?
don't swallow post 1981 cents! :eat:DANGER, DANGER, WILL ROBINSON:eat: Swallowing a 1982 on zinc cent can be very dangerous. The bronze (pre 1983) cents (also sliver and gold coins) will pass thorough the GI tract without much reaction with stomach acids. The thin copper coating of the zinc cents will not give much protection, with the result that your child (the one most likely to swallow a coin) will have a chunk of zinc dissolving in his/her (most likely his) stomach. This definitely warrants a call to your local poison control center.
All they would do is give you a laxative. Eventually you'd simply crap it out. Zinc is not toxic and would not harm you with a single ~3000 mg dose....assuming you could even digest it all (doubtful).
